PART 2 • Setting up a position in chess king
These two buttons at the bottom of the panel allow you to
set up the starting position for a game or to clear the board
completely:
If you set up from the starting position, you can use the
mouse cursor to move the pieces around the board. If you
clear the chess board, you can click on pieces in the upper
part of the panel to place them on the board:
• Click on a piece, then click on the chess board square(s) where you
want that piece to appear. Additional boxes let you clear squares (in
case you make a mistake) or return the mouse cursor to its normal
function (by clicking the arrow). The double green arrow button in the
lower right-hand corner just changes the display of piece buttons from
a horizontal arrangement to a vertical one.
