PART 2 • When a quest ends, another begins!
Most quest levels begin with an “endgame” challenge (even
though the pieces and pawns are on their normal starting
squares). Within a few moves, you'll often find yourself in
a position which could easily come from a typical chess
endgame. Here's the initial position from Level 18's first quest:
