PART 2 • Your chess quests • You can click on the round button to the right of a level number to open the view of that level. For a new user, clicking on the buttons for Level One and Level Two will reveal a display like this: • Each rectangular box is actually a button you can use to select and load a different chess quest. A green circle indicates that the quest is available to you, while a padlock means that the quest is “locked” and you're not allowed to undertake it yet. You unlock new quests by “leveling up”; you increase your level when you earn enough experience points by solving chess puzzles and successfully completing chess quests. (Remember that you can always see your current level, and the number of experience points you need to level up, by looking at your profile panel near the screen's lower right corner.) • In the illustration above, we see that a brand-new user can undertake only the two quests under Level 1; the two quests for Level 2 are locked and can't be played until the user levels up. 180 chessking.com
