FINISHING A PUZZLE SET
AND EARNING REWARDS
When you solve the puzzles in a set, you're graded not just
on accuracy but on the time it takes you to complete the set.
When you've finished a set, you'll see a dialogue like this one:
• Our friend Courtney has just finished her first puzzle set, and done it in
great time, too! Since she got every problem right and did it so quickly,
she was awarded a diamond symbol to show how well she did. She
earned 55 experience points toward advancement to Level Two (which
will unlock more puzzles and chess “quests”) and eight more coins
which she can use to buy hints in Chess King's playing modes.
• Had Courtney tried this puzzle set before, her previous best would have
been listed at the top of this display. But since this is the first time she's
attempted this puzzle set, it just says “None” for her “previous best”.
• Buttons at the bottom of this display let you review the answers, do the
puzzle set again, or close the dialogue and go back to the main Chess
King screen, with the next puzzle set from the current group loaded; all
you need to do is click “Go” to start the timed challenges.
