PART 2 • Create your own database
You should make sure your Chess King user name is part of
the database name so that you and other players will be able
to tell everyone's databases apart. Click “OK” after you've
typed a name for your database and a new database will be
created for you. If you'd like to double-check this, click the
large “Games” button and you'll see your new database in the
Control Panel's list:
Of course, there will be a zero
in parentheses beside your
database's name – you haven't
played any games yet!
• As I mentioned earlier, you don't need to create your own database
if you'll be the only Chess King user on your computer. Chess King
automatically creates a database called “my_games” and, if you're the
only user, Chess King will save your games into that database.
