Why are you passionate about serving MISD ?
Public education is the great equalizer and I ’ m a living testament of this . I moved a lot during my childhood and went to many schools . My teachers and everyone who touched my life at school were very impactful for me . This included the teachers , bus drivers , cafeteria staff , teachers aids , after school teachers , etc . I was someone who could have easily fallen through the cracks , but I was surrounded by people who cared , wanted me to succeed and gave me the tools to do it . All of these amazing people are the reason I am what I am today . Serving MISD allows me the great opportunity to do the same for the children in our community . An education is the greatest gift you can give a child . I ’ m excited and honored to work with all the amazing people at MISD and be a part of the work that is done each day .
