Meet Emma Tung , a distinguished graduate of Mansfield High School , class of 2021 .
During high school , Emma actively participated in the National Honor Society , Swim Team , Key Club , and the Esports Club . She fondly recalls engaging physics experiments and cherished moments in classes like AP Physics 1 and AP Physics C . Post graduation , Emma pursued a bachelor ’ s degree in computer science at UT Dallas , securing a merit scholarship .
Emma ’ s academic journey includes a Software Engineering internship with Ford Motor Company and a recent role as a software engineer intern at Atlassian in New York City . She contributes to the cloud performance of Confluence , a knowledge base used by industry leaders like NASA , Twitter , Facebook , and Netflix .
Emma shared that Mansfield ISD played a crucial role in her success . The AP classes she took at MHS provided a credit advantage in college . Also , IT and computer science courses at Ben Barber Innovation Academy laid a strong foundation for her future . Grateful for inspiring peers and teachers , Emma is recognized by Mansfield ISD as an accomplished alumna , embodying excellence in education and technology !

MAQUELA NOEL
Meet Maquela Noel , a Legacy High School graduate . During her time as a Bronco , she excelled in track and field and cross country while serving as an office aide . She earned a kinesiology degree with honors from Baylor University , graduating magna cum laude . Maquela was deeply involved in Student Foundation at her campus and began a foundation supporting unhoused individuals . At Baylor , she was a distinguished member of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society , a Ronald E . McNair Scholar , and a published author for her graduate research project .
After undergrad , Maquela pursued her dream of becoming an occupational therapist in Los Angeles . Now a dedicated second-year doctorate student at USC , she works in a NICU research lab . Her goal is to specialize in helping post-stroke and neuro patients regain independence . She credits her success to MISD , which equipped her with the skills and knowledge to excel in her undergraduate studies and pursue a career in health care .
