Students across the district were asked three questions : ( 1 ) What ’ s your favorite class ? ( 2 ) What do you want to be when you grow up ? ( 3 ) What is your favorite thing to do outside of school ? Read their answers below .
ABDUL- LATEEF YUSUF Eighth Grade , Danny Jones Middle School
1 . Athletics - I like sports . I play sports , and I ’ m a very active person . I play basketball , football and track . I ’ m a wide receiver on the field , and I ’ m a safety and shooting guard on the court .
2 . I want to be a professional athlete or clothing brand owner . I ’ ve been doing sports for two years now . I like making my own designs , and I wear them , too .
3 . I love playing basketball . It ’ s my favorite sport , and it ’ s very fun to play and very fun to watch .

1 . History - I love Mr . Freeman . He ’ s the best . I like the way he teaches , and he ’ s very expressive . I can tell from how he teaches that he really loves what he does .
2 . I would like to be a pediatrician or psychologist . I like helping people , and I feel like I would be great person people could come to and open up to . You just need someone like that in your life , and I want to be that person .
3 . My favorite thing to do would be watercolor painting . I love the abstract , the vibe , the gradient of it .

1 . As of right now I like anatomy . It relates to what I want to do in the future and what I want to do in college .
2 . I want to be a physical therapist and study kinesiology . I ’ ve been in physical therapy a lot because I get hurt as an athlete .
3 . I run track for school . I enjoy painting . I also enjoy going to the Dallas Arboretum . I love to read . I really enjoy fashion - I like to get new pieces or make new
things .
1 . I enjoy physics because you finally get used to applied math , and it ’ s not theoretical . We ’ ve been doing math for so long , now we get to do something with it .
2 . I will attend Texas A & M University to study finance . Not sure what I want to do with that degree yet , but I ’ ve always been good with numbers .
3 . I do physics homework in my spare time . During the football season I don ’ t have much free time . I am the
quarterback . I ’ ve been in Mansfield all my life .
