The MISD community came out in great numbers to
honor our nation’s heroes. The City of Mansfield’s second
annual Veterans Day Parade went off without a hitch.
Project-based learning continued at Jerry Knight STEM
Academy as the learners presented their skate park
projects. They have been building their parks for six
weeks using the skills learned in all subjects.
Meteorologist Greg Fields from WFAA (channel 8)
stopped by Erma Nash Elementary School to teach
second-graders about the weather.
Middle school choir students received a once-in-a-
lifetime treat. They got to perform with Grammy-
nominated artist Crowder when he held his concert in
MISD on Dec. 1.
Oh, the places you’ll go...with virtual reality! Fourth-
graders at Carol Holt Elementary School experienced
life on the prairie using Google equipment.
What’s your favorite book? Students at MISD’s Early
College High School dressed up as their favorite
character for Storybook Character Day.
