Amos Lee Performed in MISD for National Tour

during his national solo tour.

ansfield ISD held a special ceremony that made its new early college high school program official. The Tarrant
County College Southeast Early College High School at Timberview (ECHS) was dedicated on Nov. 10.
The campus, which is housed inside of Timberview High
School, provides students with an opportunity to graduate
with a high school diploma and up to 60 hours of college
credit and/or an associate degree from Tarrant County
College.
The musician performed at the Mansfield ISD Center for the
Performing Arts on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 8 p.m.
Lee’s concert will featured MISD high school show choirs as
the opening act. All proceeds went toward the MISD Center Arts
Program, which brings in art performances and cultural events to
the students of MISD and the community.
The incredible night of music included songs from the
performer’s self-produced new album SPIRIT. Approximately
1,800 people were in attendance.
Early College High School Dedication
The dedication ceremony featured student ambassadors,
Tarrant County College administration and MISD leaders.
ECHS is available to only ninth-graders for the 2017-18
school year, but enrollment will eventually expand every
year until the school has a 12th-grade class.
Amos Lee used to be a teacher before pursuing
music full time.
