MISD Community Partnership Awards
The Mansfield ISD Education Foundation board members accepted their Community Partnership Award at the Nov. 24 School Board Meeting.
E
ach month, Mansfield ISD will be recognizing the
work of a community partner that significantly
contributes back to the district. The selected
organizations are recognized at an MISD School
Board meeting and receive a special plaque. The Education Foundation started in the fall of
1998. It has awarded more than 1,100 grants; and
in the spring of 2016, the organization will have
raised more than $3 million in grants for district
classrooms.
For the month of November, MISD recognized The
Education Foundation. The Foundation works to
enhance education in MISD and increases private
support for educational activities by awarding funds
to teachers for innovative projects and programs that
are not funded by tax dollars. In December, the district honored Texas Trust Credit
Union. Texas Trust has been an MISD partner since
2008. The credit union has provided internships for
MISD students, sponsored district events, awarded
money in scholarships, and has given more than
$300,000 in spirit debit card rewards. The debit card
rewards put money back into classrooms.
MISD thanks
The Education
Foundation and
Texas Trust Credit
Union for their
continued support.
