Lady Wolves End Season as Number Two in State
T
he Timberview High School girls basketball team finished its postseason as the second best team in Texas for the
5A conference.
The ladies made it to the championship state game and ended up as the state runner-ups. This is the second year in
a row the ladies have made it to the final game and fell
short of the victory.
Coach Kit Martin said she is confident the team will be
able to take home the state title next year.
“Luckily for us, we return four starting juniors, and
we’ll be able to have a team that’s going to be a lot like
this next year,” said Martin. “This has been a unique
experience. To me, it’s completely different from last
season and really the last two seasons.”
The basketball team finished the 2017-18 season with a
40-3 record.
Coach Martin said the support the team has received
from the community has been amazing.
