MISD Senior Selected for McDonald’s All-American Team
T
imberview High School’s Chennedy Carter continues to prove why she is
one of the top-ranked high school basketball girls in the nation.
The senior point guard was chosen to be on the final roster of the prestigious
McDonald’s All-American Games. The games take place every spring and
highlight some of the top high school basketball players in the country. This
year, the games will be played on March 29 in Chicago.
Carter is ranked sixth in the nation according to ESPN’s 2017 HoopGurlz
Recruiting Rankings. She is committed to Texas A&M University.
Taylah Thomas, Trelynn Tyler and Hailee Walls from Timberview High School,
along with Summit High School’s Amber Dixon and Legacy High School’s
Grace Daniels were nominated to play in the McDonald’s All-American Games
before the final roster was released.
McDonald’s hosted its first All-American team in 1977. The program was
expanded to include a girls game in 2001.
Carter also made the USA Basketball
U18 team in the summer.
