BOARD MEMBER PROFILE : WARREN DAVIS

What schools did you attend ?
I was born and raised in Atlantic City , New Jersey . After attending Atlantic City public schools , I went on to attend Upsala College in East Orange , New Jersey , and graduated with a B . A . in Human Resources Management . Later , I earned an M . S . in Management from Southern Methodist University .
What is one quote that has become your life ’ s motto ?
“ What good is a gift if you are not willing to share it ? What good is a blessing if no one else benefits from it ?”
What would be the perfect afternoon for you ?
My perfect afternoon would be enjoying the fellowship and laughter of family and friends .
Who was your role model growing up ?
Growing up , my role model was my Uncle Kevin ( Quince ). He was a great husband and father who was equally generous , smart and fun , as well as fearless in breaking down barriers professionally . He and my Aunt Regina ( his wife ) were real standard-bearers .
Davis has served on the school board since 2020 .
Give us a brief bio of your career .
Over the last 30 years , I have had the pleasure of working as a human resources professional who has successfully led teams and advanced organizational missions and goals across multiple industries and sectors .
What makes you so passionate about Mansfield ISD ?
Through the development of campus-driven unique experiences , we are able to acknowledge the spectrum of needs and interests that are as diverse as our student body and our community .
The board trustee has been married to his wife , Terri , for 22 years . They have three children : Capri , Warren III and Jonathon .
This diversity is what makes MISD special . How could you not be excited about the possibilities ? It really is what makes MISD a great place to live , learn and teach .
