Sports broadcasting students from Ben Barber
Innovation Academy tackled their first full-game
broadcast in September. Games and other news can be
heard live at 999thewild.net.
It was an extra special day for two Roberta Tipps
Elementary School students when their father, who
just returned home from an Army deployment, surprised
them at school.
College fight songs traveled through the air while
tailgate foods and activities aligned the campus grounds
for Asa E. Low Jr. Intermediate School’s second
annual National College Colors Day celebration.
Starting this school year, staff members will be sporting
their “We Love Texas Public Schools” gear to show how
public education is a great choice.
Charlotte Anderson Elementary School celebrated
creativity, courage and collaboration on International
Dot Day. Students were challenged through art to make
their mark.
Students at Danny Jones Middle School found
their strength. They participated in Superhero Day to
celebrate college week.
