MISD Back-to-School Bash Committee
Receives Community Partnership Award
T
he many volunteers that make up the Mansfield ISD Back-to-School Bash committee received an award that
recognizes the work they do to set up MISD students for success.
The group was given the MISD Community Partnership Award, which is given to organizations that significantly
contribute to the district.
MISD’s Back-to-School Bash committee was an integral part in launching the MISD Back-to-School Bash in 2016
and hosting the second annual event in 2017. Local businesses, churches, organizations, municipalities, schools and
departments all worked together with the goal of helping students and their families.
Through the committee members’ time and service, the district was able to provide school supplies, health services,
food and fun activities to make the event one to remember. An average of 14,000 people attend the bash.
The committee was recognized at the Sept. 26 board meeting.
The Back-to-School Bash is filled with fun and interactive
activities for students of all ages.
