More than 400 Students Earn AP Scholar Awards

total of 425 Mansfield ISD students were distinguished by The College Board as Advanced Placement (AP)
Scholars. The award recognizes high school students who have demonstrated college-level achievement through
AP courses and exams.
AP courses are available to high school students. AP exams are given
after completion of the course, and students have the ability to earn
college credit depending on the score earned on the exam. The highest
score possible is a five.
MISD students earned distinctions in one or more of each four categories:
AP Scholar Award - 277 students earned a score of three or higher on three or more AP Exams.
AP Scholar with Honor Award - 61 students earned an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken
with scores of three or higher on four or more of these exams.
AP Scholar with Distinction Award - 87 students earned an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams
taken with scores of three or higher on five or more of these exams.
National AP Scholar Award - 21 students earned an average score of four or higher on all AP Exams taken with
scores of four or higher on eight or more of these exams.
