Remembering the Events of 9/11
O
n Sunday, Sept. 11, the nation commemorated the 15th anniversary of the largest terrorist attack on U.S.
soil. Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives and thousands more were injured after hijackers crashed planes
into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
The day has since been memorialized as Patriot Day, and Mansfield ISD campuses participated in various
events and activities to remember the lives affected by that day.
Although a majority of students were
not even alive during the attacks back
on Sept. 11, 2001, events like the ones
that were held will continue teaching
the next generation to never forget.
