Sir John was born on Apri. 25, 1925,  in
Canouan, St. Vincent & The Grenadines;
home of his mother.
In September of 1939, at the age of 13, he
migrated to St. Lucia ahead of his mother to
live with his uncle who had recently lost his
wife.
