Would you say that migrating to the
U.S. changed your life course or made your
dreams possible?
Absolutely. If I had stayed in St. Lucia, I would
have remained working in the police force. I
don’t think I would have considered pursuing
my music career, which has enabled me to
become an international artiste.
What advice do you have for folks who are
perhaps afraid of following their dream?
Never give up. No matter what happens,
stay focused and committed. Work hard to
improve your talents and give it the best
you've got. Follow your heart and dreams,
because
because haters are hoping and patiently waiting
for you to give up, they do not want you to
succeed. Believe in yourself and stay away from
negative people.
I know you try to give back to your community
as much as you can. Tell me about your
philanthropic work?
Whenever possible, I choose to help those who
are financially disadvantaged because, most of
these people do not have the money to afford
medical care or basic school supplies, which are
a necessity. Our communities need to have
healthy and educated children and adults, in
order to make any progress.
