Beautiful and powerful. Where do you get your inspiration from? I listen to motivational speakers a lot. Among them – Les Brown, Will Smith, T. D. Jakes. You are indeed multi-talented. Let's talk Kaiso, one of my favorite art forms. From the very first moment I heard your songs and I saw you perform I became an instant fan. How did you get into Kaiso?   Kaiso! I just love Kaiso. Kaiso is a part of our culture. I participated in junior calypso one year, I think I was in Form 2 at the time. And so it has always been something I wanted to do. From the first tent experience I already knew I would have gone back.  Oh, so 2017 wasn't your first time competing on the national level?   My first experience, I didn’t really understand the game. Well, I still don’t but let's say I didn’t understand how to get around. The first time around I did a soca- like song and I probably did it a week before competition. At the time I knew nothing about voice maturity. All I knew was just how to let it out, how to sing. This year was a better year because with age you're a little more mature and so is your voice. After the first experience I knew that hey, I have to try doing this stuff differently. And then I got a very good manager, Allison Joseph.  Ms. Allison Joseph was like an extra boost for me. She boosts my confidence and made sure that I was looking my best and doing my best. How wonderful. It's always helpful and perhaps necessary to have that one person
