Nice. Why did you want to be the GG, any
reason in particular?
From a young age you realize – and other
people realize – certain characteristics in
you. I always had leadership skills, that
outspoken personality. I had a very keen
interest in politics, I still do and she had that
queen role overseeing the affairs of the
country.
Thinking about it, that’s probably why I got
involved in pageantry. I like the queen-
shows and all that stuff.
So you've taken part in pageants as well.
Who introduced you to the world of
pageantry?
The first pageant I took part in was
organized by Miss Greta Joseph. But in terms
of talent development Marylene Gaston.
She's still a big support. Having a mentor
who sees the potential in you, to push you is

very important. I thinka lot of talent gets
lostbecause it’s never discovered. At a tender
age like 8, 9 you don’t know what you're
capable of but having someone to motivate
and guide you helps a great deal in
helping you find yourself.
Yes, mentorship is invaluable. So, you're in
school right now, yes? What are you
studying?
Business administration.
Let's see, arts, politics, business
administration. How do you
plan on marrying these three diverse fields?
I think business administration would really
lend a hand in me being an artist. With the
associate degree in business I would
understand and be able to balance
everything and be aware of what’s going on
with my finances – how to make proposals,
how to sell myself, how to market myself,
