I admired the positive impact that they made in the life of their students myself included, and like them, I wanted to help empower others, support young dreams and shape inquisitive minds." How did you prepare for the job? "At 9/10 years old I started tutoring my peers without being prompted by anyone. I would get to school early before classes had begun. I still have vivid memories of myself dressed in a sky blue pleated skirt, white shirt and satin ribbons, seated at the lunch table outside of the classroom (she smiles). It was gratifying to see a classmate who might have felt despondent and even frustrated about a lesson, feel confident about their new understanding of a concept! I will admit, I also liked writing on the chalkboard (she giggles). My teachers saw my potential and provided me with opportunities to discover my talents.
