Oh Japan

This poem takes place right after the events of the Tohoku Earthquake in 2011.

How brave and strong Japan could be,

I will help if you can’t see.

Through thick and thin they worked on thee,

The country that keeps Mount Fuji.

In world war two,

You saw what’s true,

The cruelty, human can do.

It was rue,

Nobody knew,

The good thing is you fought it through.

With brilliant technology,

As advanced as can be.

When we thought the harm was gone,

We were wrong when we saw dawn.

The earthquake fell,

Like it was hell.

The after-shock was a blast,

We all hope that your courage will last.

Oh Japan we are with you.
