5G FUTURE

You're probably familiar with 3G and 4G networks - your smartphone is connected to one or the other. 4G has been around for many years now and brought with it many improvements over its predecessor 3G including faster speeds. 5G (fifth generation) networks are expected to go live to the public in the UK sometime in 2020. The jump from 4G to 5G will bring faster speeds along with several other advantages. Speeds will likley be 1Gb/s but could reach as high at 10Gb/s - to put that in perspective, your internet at home is likely at least 10 times slower. The faster speeds and connectivity of 5G will make connecting devices a breeze with less dropouts and disconnections. Networks will be readily available just about everywhere you go and may replace your WiFi at home all together. 5G is expected to be a major game-changer - changing the way we operate and work with our technology. It's leading us to be more connected than we ever before.
