Introducing the modern-day Personal digital assistant (PDA). PDAs were popular tech back in the nineties. Handheld clamshell devices were used to fill out spreadsheets and read documents. However, they decreased in popularity as smartphone usage increased. One company, however, is bringing them back into fashion, believing now is the right time. Planet Computers is planning to introduce the Gemini PDA into the market; it features the classic clamshell design with a handheld QWERTY keyboard. It will have the ability to receive and make calls similar to a modern smartphone, featuring a front-facing camera with the option to add on a rear-facing camera if desired. Gemini has a powerful ten core processor and will run the latest Android OS, with wifi and 4G capabilities. This phone is marketed to be the best friend of business people on the go.

Nokia is making every adult feel young again by relaunching their bright yellow “banana phone” 22 years after its original release in 1996. You may remember the Nokia 8810 original after Keanu Reeves used it in the movie ‘The Matrix’ in 1999. The company hopes that this relaunch will have the same success as the resurrected Nokia 3310 last year. Nokia was praised for giving the 3310 a modern twist with the long-lasting battery we all remember and loved. The banana phone will also be available in black if you feel like pretending to be ‘The One’. It will be available to buy in May 2018 and will have all the modern capabilities as other smartphones, with perhaps a more satisfying way to answer and hang up calls.
