iPhone X will set the path of technology for the next decade. It is the biggest leap forward since the original iPhone.

Face ID, a system that unlocks the phone by recognizing your face. The new biometric scanner is said to be more secure than Touch ID. When you wake up the phone, the IR light goes off, and if the IR camera sees a face, the dot projector flashes a pattern of 30,000 dots. The camera then takes a 2D photo, which gets turned into mathematical depth model, sent to the secure authentication chip, and matched against the stored value. It works regardless of if you’re wearing a hat, grew a beard or if you’re in the dark. Since it uses IR light, it even works in a pitch black room and it also works with most sunglasses, especially if they’re polarized.

The lack of home button means the general use of the iPhone has been tweaked. New gestures have been introduced that replace what the home button has done for the last decade. Going forward, all future iPhone’s are expected to be without a home button. Check out the video to learn how to use the

The iPhone X, along with the 8 & 8 Plus also introduce wirless charging for the first time using the Qi standard that is present on many Android devices. Wirless charging should become more mainstream now thanks in part to iPhone's popularity.
