HOW DO ASTRONAUTS LIVE IN SPACE?

Since 1961 humans have begun to send ourselves to space to explore

its wonder. However life in space is very different to here on Earth.

Many things change when above the earth’s atmosphere and how

astronauts cope with these changes is impressive. Without gravity

objects are free to float around, that includes the astronauts

themselves. So even daily tasks such as brushing your teeth,

eating and sleeping are different to what we experience on

Earth. Along living in a confined space specially built for

space there are other commodities which are different

such as space food. Some things are the same as we

have them such as tooth brushes and tooth paste

the only difference is if an astronauts spits out

the water to rinse it will just float around like

a bubble, they use a wash cloth or swallow

to make sure the bubble of toothpaste

doesn’t float around. One of the main

aims of going into space is to research

it and try find out as much as we can about it, around

researching, eating and sleeping, astronauts do

have free time the space stations have the tech

to be able to play music some even have

games for them to play, they have to make

sure it doesn’t all float away! Humans will

continue to explore space and the

technology to live in space will keep

evolving also, to the right are some

videos explaining how some

astronauts cope with daily tasks.
