“I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Race Bank site last month. It was great to see first-hand how much the project is progressing. There's been a phenomenal amount of work that has already gone into the project and key milestones are beginning to be chalked off.

Mane will be supplying staff for the cable installation, sub-station connections, top side termination and testing phases of the project. We're looking forward to being involved in additional phases along the way, leading up to the point where the wind farm will be in full operation in 2018. The Race Bank offshore wind farm is yet another project that will enhance the growth of the offshore wind supply chain in UK, and the project will create jobs in the UK at all levels of the supply chain.”

With 580MW capacity generated from 91 wind turbines, the Racebank wind farm will power 400,000 homes, saving 830,000 tonnes of Co2.
