… football assistant coach Vince Cashdollar says of Eric Beard , an offensi�e lineman who �did the right things , but was �ery quiet .” It wasn ’ t long , however , before Eric found his voice at Manchester , both on and off the field .
On the field , he built his strength and his confidence , earning captain ’ s honors this past year and , as a team leader , helping younger players learn the system . Three times he ’ s been named all�conference� he was a semifinalist for the co�eted National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete award and received an invitation to the Campbell Trophy Summit .
Off the field , he ’ s also doing the right things . A three�time Dean ’ s List honoree , he ’ ll begin his doctoral studies in Manchester ’ s Pharmacy Program this fall after completing summer research on how anti�in�ammatory treatments work to fight against multiple sclerosis and �arkinson ’ s disease .
