Peter Shepherd Peter Shepherd can’t tell you who it was that showed up at Manchester University three years ago. He had the same name, but that’s the end of the resemblance. but building relationships. And his passion for German, fired by childhood visits with his maternal grandmother, has literally opened the entire world to him. His experiences at Manchester University, where he’s a professional sales major with a minor in German, have fundamentally changed who he is, how he sees the world and how he would like to fit into it. His German minor enabled him to study for a semester in Vienna, Austria, and Marburg, Germany, and to be named a Young Ambassador to return to Europe in 2017-2018. He now wants to go into international sales, combining his passion for the German language and German culture with what Manchester’s sales curriculum has taught him about the value of interpersonal communication. “I’m constantly interacting with others, and I find a real joy in that,” he says. That joy comes in countless ways. He’s played baseball for the Spartans.
