Study Abroad Manchester is set apart by rich hands-on and immersive experiences that give you a broader perspective. Studying abroad is a rare opportunity to learn about a subject first-hand in a setting that brings it to life. Imagine snorkeling for starfish in The Bahamas to study ecology, viewing the world’s greatest masterpieces in Paris in an art class or touring the pyramids of Egypt for an in-depth view of religion. The world awaits! Residential Life For most students, going to college means living on your own for the first time. But that doesn’t mean you have to go it alone. In one of our five residence halls, you’ll be a member of a supportive, tight-knit community of students, faculty and staff who will be your new family at your home away from home! Success Center Student Organizations Manchester has more than 60 student clubs and organizations. When you join one, you’re sure to make new friends. But you also learn what it’s like to engage with others and how to work together toward a common goal, while building confidence and shaping your values. The Success Center is for all students at every stage of their academic journey – from honors students to those who are facing specific challenges. It includes one-on-one academic support, advising, disability services and the Writing Center. Here, you’ll find the empowerment to take your college experience to the next level. Intercultural Connections One of the cool things about going to college is meeting new people – some very different than you. You get to learn about different cultures, learn how others live, and share some of yourself with them as well. Our international students come to Manchester from 20 different countries, and we’re proud of what they bring to MU! Career Preparation Employers and graduate schools know there is something special about our graduates. Whether the job market is strong or on the downturn, employers consistently look to Manchester University for their hires. The numbers tell the story: 98 percent of last year’s grads got jobs or were accepted into graduate schools within six months!
