MU | Strategic Plan
I continue to be grateful for the opportunity to serve Manchester University . It has been wonderful traveling to meet our alumni , meeting current students , and chatting with new families and students who are considering Manchester . I have enjoyed working with our faculty on transformational policies and curriculum changes , and connecting with staff who work hard to make sure that Manchester is a great place to learn and work .
“ My highest priority is to make sure that we work together on our strategic plan .”
There are three main focus areas of our strategic plan : Distinctively Manchester Teaching and Learning , an Inspiring Place to Learn and Work , and being a university that is Focused on Investment and Growth .
▪ Submission of a Lilly Endowment Inc . College and Community Collaboration initiative grant proposal Aligning our budget to current resources
▪ Creating pathways from high school to Manchester
▪ Developing a plan for deferred maintenance on campus
▪ Sharing stories through alumni visits and community meetings .
As I look toward the future of Manchester , my highest priorities are :
▪ Experiential Learning for undergraduate students
▪ High School pathways leading to Manchester from Wabash and surrounding counties
▪ Adult education opportunities
▪ Matriculation from North Manchester to Fort Wayne
Our alumni often ask us how they can help . Of course , we always appreciate financial gifts to Manchester to support opportunities for our students , but what is even more important is telling your friends and family about Manchester . Encourage them to consider Manchester for their higher education experience . Every time I visit alumni , I hear about how Manchester changed their lives . Tell people your story and continue to live the Manchester mission every day !
