Memorial Coliseum, beneath a banner shouting
“Welcome to Fort Wayne,” which included a
Manchester University logo, the Christopher
Newport University pep band was rocking out the
place, a swath of blue chanting “Let’s go, Captains!”
Behind the media table, a competing swath of –
what else? – garnet was chanting “Let’s go Swarth!”
at the Swarthmore College Garnet.
And out the door, down the hallway and in an arena
lobby sprouting geysers of balloons in NCAA blue
and white ...
Well. There you found a table, two standing displays
and a pile of tote bags, coasters and lanyards in
Manchester University black and gold.
