Robert J. Nelson Jr. of North Manchester, July10,
2015. Bob worked at Manchester for 30 years,
serving as the director of publicity and the
director of audio visual services before retiring in
1986. He was a member of the Manchester
College Board of Trustees from 1955-59,
representing the Michigan district of the Church
of the Brethren. A 1950 graduate of the
University of La Verne, Bob earned a master’s
degree from the University of South Dakota in 1951. During World
War II, he served with the Civilian Public Service. A resident of
Timbercrest Senior Living Community, Bob was active in a number of
local organizations including Manchester Church of the Brethren, the
Kiwanis Club and the Historical Society. He is survived by a daughter,
Laura L. Stults of Osceola.
