more than 40 years, has two daughters and five grandchildren. Robert is
a retired school teacher and would love to hear from friends.

Ken ’66 and Zelba Pheneger ’67 Miller of Chesterton, Ind.,
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in August 2014. Ken retired
from Duneland School Corp. after 31 years and is now pastor of
adults at Crossroads Family Church in Portage, Ind. Zelba retired from
Portage Township Schools and is enjoying their 10 grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren.

choir director at Wabash Christ United Methodist Church in Wabash.

Donald Michaelsen ’67 of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, was elected to the
17-member steering committee as a member-at-large for a two-year
term with the Institute for Learning in Retirement (ILR). ILR, the
nation’s largest single-location educational nonprofit for seniors with
1,727 members, is a part of Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio.

Phyllis Weimer ’69x Michaelsen of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, has been
senior coding specialist for Medical Mutual of Ohio in Cleveland for
the past 18 years. She continues volunteer work in her second three-year
term of the Berea United Church of Christ’s Ministerium.

he helped build and direct for 32 years the

1970s Jane Emery ’70 Atkins of Elkhart, Ind., retired on
Aug. 29, 2014, following 43 years of social work in St. Joseph and
Elkhart counties. Jane looks forward to many hours of volunteering at
the local schools in the near future.
