Every year , we publish Manchester Life .
And every year , I am surprised by — and impressed with — all that is happening in Manchester and its surrounding towns .
New stores ! New restaurants ! New hotels ! New exhibitions !
And despite this … it still feels like home . It still feels like Manchester . How is this accomplished ?
With Enthusiasm . Grit . Respect for the area ’ s past . And most importantly , Dreams .
There is an unspoken understanding that every business here — no matter the industry — only exists , because someone along the way had a dream . And they ( the founders and their descendants ) didn ’ t JUST dream big . Their dreams were coupled with the grit and enthusiasm necessary to keep going .
This magazine throws a spotlight on several dreamers — but , trust me , there are many more among us .
How lucky are we to live in such a beautiful place with such beautifully-determined dreamers ?
