The Lincoln Family Home was built by
presidential son Robert Lincoln in 1905.
Explore the 412-acre estate beginning at the
Welcome Center and The Museum Store.
Includes the Lincoln family’s home and
gardens; Lincoln exhibition; 1903 Pullman
car, Sunbeam; Many Voices exhibition;
Hildene Farm’s goat dairy, cheesemaking
facility, and sustainable agriculture project in
the Dene; and a wetland floating boardwalk.

A nonprofit educational organization with
a mission to teach and demonstrate
the benefits of innovative, sustainable
management of forest and farmland. Merck
is composed of 3,162 acres and includes a
managed forest, a maple-sugaring operation,
and a 62-acre farm. Visit the farm, venture
into the forest, or stay overnight in a rustic
