Traditionally, the last two weeks of May
and the first two weeks of June are when
the property’s Formal Garden signals
the beginning of the spring season with
thousands of peonies in bloom. These
stunning gardens have been blooming here
since 1907 and were a gift from Robert Todd
Lincoln to his wife Mary. They are a marvel
to look at and smell amazing, something
to be appreciated even if you don’t have
