Southwestern Vermont Health Care is committed to caring for people
in the communities they call home. With primary care practices in
Wilmington, Manchester, Pownal, and Bennington, VT, as well as in nearby
Hoosick Falls, NY, SVHC strives to make care convenient and close.
Walk-in ExpressCare practices, located at SVMC’s Main Campus in
Bennington and the Northshire campus in Manchester, are equipped
with on-site laboratory and x-ray services and access to state-of-the-art
telemedicine technology. Utilizing two-way audio/video and Wi-Fi-enabled
monitors, telemedicine allows for real-time interactive communication
between providers at SVMC and Dartmouth-Hitchcock giving access to
board-certified specialists for particularly complex conditions.
Physicians at every primary care practice are part of the Dartmouth-
Hitchcock Putnam Physicians and have access to resources and specialists
found at Dartmouth-Hitchcock ensuring residents and visitors to the
region access to quality care when and where they need it.

OB/GYN
SVMC OB/GYN helps women at every stage of
life manage their care choices and understand
their options. From education and prevention to
diagnostics and treatment, they treat each
patient as an individual, respecting their choices
and providing care with compassion.
SVMC OB/GYN is staffed with four board-certified
physicians and a Magnet ® -recognized nursing team
who focus on treating the whole woman.
Located on the hospital campus, the practice
offers contraceptive consultations and complete
obstetric care, including personalized birth plans
and post-partum care. The practice’s Breast Care
program offers digital mammography, biopsies,
surgery, and treatment for a variety of breast
diseases. In addition, SVMC OB/GYN provides
support and care related to perimenopause
and menopause.
SVMC OB/GYN is designated by Blue Cross Blue Shield
as a Blue Distinction Center for Maternity Care.
