FOCUS ORTHOPEDICS FOCUS ON Treating and caring for everything from sports injuries and arthroscopic surgery, to arthritis care and joint replacement, our collaborative staff includes four board-certified orthopedic specialists. With SVMC Orthopedics in Bennington and partner Northern Berkshire Orthopedics in nearby Williamstown, MA, the practice is committed to providing personalized care and customized rehabilitation programs that result in positive outcomes and exceptional recovery times. The orthopedic programs associated with SVMC are proud to participate in Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s data-gathering research program, GreenCare, thanks to a $100,000 grant from the Aircast Foundation. The first practice outside Dartmouth-Hitchcock to participate, SVMC Orthopedics was selected based on its diverse patient profile. Using data collected from patients, the GreenCare model aims to predict outcomes for similar patients with the long-term goal of providing tools for better treatment decisions, improving outcomes, and reducing health spending. SVMC Orthopedics offers advanced surgical and non-surgical treatment for every bone and joint in the body. Based on the hospital campus, SVMC Cardiology is staffed with two full-time cardiologists and two cardiac care nurse practitioners who work throughout the system. A team of 20+ clinical staff and hospitalists work in the cardiac care unit. Cardiac patients in the ICU are monitored by members of this team as well as staff at Dartmouth- Hitchcock via Telemedicine. Committed to both treating heart disease and preventing it, the cardiac team offers personalized attention and care plans. State-of- the-art 3D imaging and transesophageal ultrasound technology are used to fully assess and diagnose patient conditions and long-standing working relationships with the cardiology centers at Dartmouth, St. Peters, Albany Medical Center, and Samaritan Hospital ensure patients have access to any necessary advanced care services they need. An extensive cardiac rehab program, incorporating exercise and lifestyle education, provides patients with the knowledge and resources to recover as fully as possible. SVMC’s cardiologists are two of only four providers in the state who are board certified in echocardiology. Pictured: Dr. Scott Rogge 72 svhealthcare.org
