SHIRES OF VERMONT MARATHON
The Shires of Vermont Marathon returns this year
in celebration of the Shires communities. This is a
classic point-to-point, 26.2-mile marathon between
Bennington and Manchester following secondary
highways and dirt roads. Run yourself or cheer on
participants as they cross the finish line at Hunter
Park in Manchester. May 21. Bennington and

Celebrating its 25th year, this event includes a 5k run
and walk, a 10k run, and children’s obstacle course to
raise awareness for breast cancer and funds for breast
