Stephen Woodhead left Werder
Bremen leaving them in pole position with enough points to finish first winning the Bundesliga on same number of points as runner up VfL Bochum, who won the DFB cup beating VfB Stuttgart in the final by 2-0.
In Champions league, no German team managed to reach the quarter finals and in UEFA cup M'galdbach and VfL Bochum were both eliminated in the quarter-finals by Dutch outfits Ajax and Feyenoord.
Eduardo Santos was appointed new manager in Werder Bremen, making him the official league winning manager.
Italy had again a new league
champion in Lazio with Chris Silcock who won Serie A with only 3 points margin. Coppa Italia winner Juventus beat Bologna 3-0 while Lazio also won the Champions league trophy.
In France, PSG under new
management in Erich Bueno won Ligue 1, and beat Lens for the Coupe de France by 2-0. PSG looks like the new manager is just what they needed after the departure of their former manager.
In Cl, Lyon and PSG were eliminated in the quarter-finals, and no French team reached the UEFA quarter-finals.
