ManagerSim August 2017 | Page 22

My name is Garry Hellas and Im from the UK but managing Celtic in Scotland. I used to play Managersim in the old days managing Liverpool in Fastticker which is also my favourite real life club. The one thing that attracted me to both the old game and the current one is the ability to not only manage real clubs but the ability to move to other clubs rather than being locked to one club.

In terms of improvements and ideas i would like to see maybe a few new formations, perhaps the 4-2-3-1 formation which is currently popular in real life or maybe a diamond 4-4-2.

I would also like Full-game scrimmage coaching changed back to Match Preparation as Scrimmage is in NFL and not football. I think the current name is confusing.

One other improvement i would like to see is the option to save in game messages as this would be useful when wanting to save a message that is important, such as when u receive help and guidance about the game from a fellow gameplayer and obviously want to keep it for future reference.

I was really pleased when Managersim came back after years of been away and hopefully it will stay around and continue improving for years to come.

A: Yes I remember it was in 2003/04, very good memories, was great to see this game again as it was my all time favourite.

B: Now I manage Chelsea with nickname Markko Srce

C: For me all great, I really like and join how it is now : the players skills go up and down very quickly so you have to be good in managing your players to play regular and always have an eye of the market. One Idea could be the possibility to create academies in different countries if you have one club, and to make official tournament of players under 19. All the rest is great ;)

D: Marc, from France, now working in Ireland.

A: Yep, played soccersim, so did about 20 mates, only me these days, though others have given it a go.

B: Lurker, just play the game, don't do facebook, so don't get involved.

C: We need more players, more leagues, I don't feel much needs to change, I think the changes have turned people off, also, the community has.

For me the game works if you buy players off other players, other than that I think it should be a level playing field. you should be able to with good management eother work your way up to bigger teams or bring a minnor up to the top league.

Yes I've played in the old days. Managed Blackpool and got some premiereship titles as well as some CL, Uefa and league cups. Blackpool was a monster... lol

Well, rejoined the game recently. Still getting used to the new economics...

As for the game future, i wish players didnt lose skills so easely. Skills are something that take time to acquire and are not easy to lose. Now, as it is, I see players losing skills for no good reason. Even if their Form is Superb, and they make part of the regular squad, they lose skills in the next ticks. Nothing to do with the age. Losing skills because of the age is another matter.

In my opinion, the Form parameter should be more volatil. Some players, even the ones that doenst play any matches, are in Superb Form. A few fitness trainings and here we go. If the Form parameter becames more realistic, maybe players dont need to lose skills so easely and the game can show more balanced matches.

BTW, form isn't fitness. A player can be fitted and his form be miserable. Its a well known fact that players that doesnt take part of the regular squad, take some time to enter in what we call "the game pace", or "game rythm", or whatever its named. One thing is training and other thing is playing a real match. The player Form should reflect this.

A: I like the managergames a lot. In the old days, I was very active in soccersim having played in all game worlds with teams such as Stevenage, Newry, Panaigiolios, Catanzarro, Kidderminster, and some teams (can not recall the names) from the small countries Malta and Iceland. Quite general, I didn't achieve too much in the games.

B: I was very happy when I learnt that managersim came back. In the first test, I took a team from Iceland's 4th division. However, the game crashed.

I do not have too much time to play due to professional duties (University professor) and search along all the transfer lists. Thus, I decided to take a small club and try to climb all the ladder (Scotland was the choice, since there are 4 divisions. Stirling Albion), and try to get something out of it without buying players. Last season, I became champion of division one playing Premiere League. Gread, avoid relegation. The community has improved. In the old days, there were only cheaters and attacks agains possible cheaters. Nowadays, it is much smoother. It's great to see that there is some development in the match (although I don't agree with all of the new stuff).

C: I can't tell you about the future. I would like to stay with Stirling Albion possibly taking another team as 2nd account. But time is rare. I am a little bit concerned with the economic situation in the match. Too much money ==> too much inflation ... However, I do not know how to control it. Maybe excluding big money from the top clubs every year ... Wishes: The old game world with a lot of minor divisions in minor countries ...

D: I am Hubert Stassen, Porto Alegre, Brazil.
