REASON
MAKES
CHAMPIONS
Real Madrid, with André CML at the
reins, were crowned European club football champions for the first time after beating Bayern München 3-0.
The Spanish giants reached the finals last seasons as well, but fell short of winning against PSG, as game ended 2-0.
Real Madrid won their 5th consecutive Copa del Rey and 2nd league title.
Middlesbrough, with Paul
Skelton, had two Premier League titles earlier and now reached the UEFA cup finals beating FC Utrecht 1-0 but in Premier League they finished 3rd after Everton and Arsenal.
This season saw Paulo Francisco's Everton being the big surprise, winning their league first season after their promotion to Premier league, and reached the cup finals where they fought bravely but lost to Arsenal, who finished second in the league, lead by experienced manager Stephen Woodhead.
