Bayern München won again but
this time it was decided in the very last game of the season. Luis Costa now has, in his resume, impressive seven league titles and 3 DFB Cups. Champions league was perhaps a bit of an early exit but the German giants were matched against Barcelona and Milan, both team continued further, Barcelona winning the tournament and Milan to be eliminated in the quarter finals.
VfL Bochum had another strong season, finishing second with just two points behind the champions. Nürnberg finished third and surely are disappointed with their performance.

Lazio with new boss Berhan
Karagoez, won Serie A and Copa Italia in a very even competition, where Milan led the league during bigger part of the season to finish third in the league and playing cup final against Lazio. Juventus with Thiago Netz claimed the silver medal.
Lyon had an easy first half of the
season and dominated the league, then PSG found their rhythm to put some pressure on Lyon for league gold. The very last game decided Lyon as champion and PSG finished second, 3 points behind. PSG won Coupe de France against Lens, under new management in V. R. Alves.
