MEET THE CAST
EMILY ASH ENSEMBLE Emily is thrilled to be making her TCR debut ! She is so grateful for the opportunity to perform again and has loved working with the incredibly talented cast and crew . She works at GreenState Credit Union and is a dog mom to Vincent the goldendoodle . She thanks her parents , her brother Austin , and her friends for their love and support . She also thanks her Grandma Alice for instilling in her the love of music .
SHELBI BENION ENSEMBLE Shelbi Benion is incredibly excited to participate in Mamma Mia ! as her first show at TCR . She hopes to be on the stage even more in the coming season . Shelbi would like to thank the cast , crew , her family and her boyfriend for all of their steadfast support .
CALVIN BOMAN SKY Calvin is quite chipper about playing Sky in TCR ’ s production of Mamma Mia ! Partially because of the chance to do this show , but also because he thinks he ’ s going to Greece this summer ! He is not actually going to Greece . Some promises were made that can ’ t be kept and we still haven ’ t broken the news . Be a good sport , and don ’ t spill the beans . Calvin thanks his friends and family for their unwavering support .
BRANDON BURKHARDT ENSEMBLE Brandon Burkhardt is thrilled to return to TCR , where he played Rolf in The Sound of Music , Prince Topher in Cinderella , Billy Cane in Bright Star at Brucemore , and Race in Newsies !. He was also a soloist in An Evening of Rodgers and Hammerstein with Brucemorchestra / Revival Theatre . Other roles performed include Captain Corcoran ( HMS Pinafore ), Lancelot ( Camelot ), Soldier ( Sunday in the Park with George ), Beast ( Beauty and the Beast ), Terry ( Side Show ), Tony ( West Side Story ), Jean Valjean ( Les Miserables ), Scarecrow ( Wizard of Oz ), and Charles ( Persuasion ). He is a senior at the University of Iowa . Huge thanks to TCR and the entire cast and crew !
KARISSA BURKHARDT ENSEMBLE Karissa Burkhardt is very excited to perform again with TCR , where she was last seen in Cinderella ! Other performances include Legally Blonde , Camelot , Beauty and the Beast , and Newsies with City Circle ; HMS Pinafore with UI Opera Theatre ; The Sound of Music ( Maria ), Sweeney Todd ( Johanna ), and She Kills Monsters ( Agnes ) with Theatre West ; and Amahl and the Night Visitors ( Amahl ) and Persuasion ( Cassandra ) with Chamber Opera Chicago . She is majoring in vocal performance , theatre , and dance at the University of Iowa . Thank you to Janelle , Chris , Anna , Jared , and Forrest , and the amazing cast and crew !
