Happy Summer, MCLPs and MALP Members!
Summer is when landscape professionals truly shine! It’ s the season where all of our expertise is put to the test— whether we’ re dealing with too much rain, not enough rain, extreme heat, or high winds. The very weather we love can also be our biggest challenge. That’ s why the landscapes under our care depend on our careful monitoring and smart decisionmaking.
It’ s also the perfect time to take pride in the important work we do. If you’ re an MCLP, we encourage you to display the MCLP emblem— on your vehicle, your website, and in your social media posts. Promoting our credentials and commitment to ongoing education helps raise public awareness and elevates the entire profession.( Need an MCLP decal or a web graphic? Contact the MALP office— we’ re happy to help!)
Summer is also a great time to prepare for the MCLP Exam on November 7. If you’ re studying, now’ s the time to commit to a steady routine. Make a weekly plan— tackle one chapter at a time, create flashcards or Quizlets, and carve out regular review time. In addition to the MCLP Study Guide, take advantage of the MCLP Overview Webinars, which bring the material to life with visuals, graphics, and expert explanations.
And don’ t forget— register for the exam early. Having that date marked on your calendar is one of the best motivators to stay on track.
Wishing everyone a productive, proud, and enjoyable season!
