Help Shape MALP ' s Future at the November 3 Annual Meeting
MALP ' s Annual Meeting on November 3 is an opportunity to come together, celebrate our accomplishments, and help shape the future of our association. It ' s also a chance to gain valuable knowledge that can benefit your landscape business during the winter months and beyond.
The evening will begin with an overview of MALP ' s activities and achievements during the past year, a look ahead at upcoming initiatives and educational programs, and the election of officers and directors.
Your participation matters! MALP ' s strength comes from its member: their ideas, experience and willingness to get involved. Whether you ' ve been a member for years or are relatively new to the association, we encourage you to attend, share your perspective and consider taking a more active role in MALP ' s future.
Kick Start Spring: The Do ' s and Don ' ts of Dormant Pruning
Our educational program will focus on a valuable opportunity for landscape contractors: making dormant pruning a productive and profitable part of their winter services.
Winter can be an ideal time to prune many trees and shrubs, improving plant health and structure while creating additional work opportunities during the slower season.
Led by an expert arborist, Scott McPhee, MCA co-owner of Harrison McPhee, Inc., this practical session will demonstrate proper pruning techniques and explain the why behind each decision. Participants will learn which plants benefit from dormant pruning, what to remove( and what to leave alone), common mistakes to avoid, and how to position dormant pruning as a value-added service for customers.
Join your fellow MALP members on November 3 for an evening of education, networking and an opportunity to help guide the future of your association.
