What do you think leads to success in this job?
Laila Tas: You have to be passionate about what you create. My curious nature allows me to keep open mind towards trying new things.
Also, I’m not shy to dive into big collaborations – like the National Geographic provided Titanic Artefact exhibition – which enlarges ones exposure.
Maleficent:
What is more important to you: creativity or commerce?
Laila Tass: Actually, the two go together. You, as a designer, have to remain true to yourself while creating.
But, you also have to take the wishes of the customers into account.
I make sacrifices (and compromises) in both directions.
